A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck the coastal town of Port McNeill in British Columbia, Canada. The United States Geological Survey said the epicenter was 10 km (6.2 miles) below the sea floor in the Pacific Ocean.

No tsunami warning was given 

The US National Tsunami Center did not issue a tsunami warning after the earthquake. There has been no report of any casualties due to the earthquake so far.
