
News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: A third year MBBS student of Maharani Laxmibai Medical College in Jhansi died after falling from the second floor of the hostel under suspicious circumstances. As soon as this information was received, police and medical college officials reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased Sarthak Khanna was the son of Dr. Ravi Khanna, a resident of Nirala Nagar, Lucknow. Dr. Ravi is a doctor of community medicine in Lucknow. His mother Nidhi Khanna runs a school. Siddharth, a fellow third year student of the deceased, said that Sarthak Khanna had returned to Jhansi yesterday from Lucknow Intercity.
At Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hostel of Paramedical College, the room was very hot at night because the cooler and fan were not working. Due to which he did not sleep in his room. Everything was fine till 6:00 in the morning. At around 7:00 he went towards the railing where he fell from the railing in suspicious condition and got seriously injured. He suffered severe head injuries and by the time he was brought to the medical college, he died.
Medical College Principal Dr Mayank Singh said that this was Sarthak Khanna, a student of 2022 batch. He was living in the hostel of Paramedical College. Other students living there saw him fallen around 7:30 in the morning. He was brought to the emergency of the medical college in a hurry. Efforts were made to save him but he could not be saved and he died. Doctors said that he had a head injury. Sarthak had a room on the 2nd floor. It was in room number 60, he fell from its balcony. The reason for how he fell could not be ascertained. Police action is going on. It will be clear after the rest of the family members arrive.
