India needs to think about manufacturing: Rahul Gandhi
The Congress MP further said that the West, the US, Europe and India have given up the idea of production and they have handed it over to China. The act of production creates jobs. What we do, what the Americans do, what the West does, is to organise consumption. India has to think about the act of production and organising it.
He also said that what you call manufacturing is going to be reserved for China. It is going to be reserved for Vietnam. It is going to be reserved for Bangladesh. We have to rethink the way we do manufacturing in a democratic environment. Unless we do that, we will face high levels of unemployment.
