Washington: The popularity of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is increasing rapidly among Asian-American voters. According to a survey, Harris has taken a lead of 38 points over her rival Republican candidate Trump.
This is the first survey after Kamala Harris became the presidential candidate. Kamala Harris has also taken a lead of 23 points over President Biden. NORC conducted this survey at the University of Chicago.
28 percent of voters support Trump
66 percent of Asian-American voters are in favor of Harris. At the same time, 28 percent have said that they support Trump. Six percent of voters are still neutral. Earlier, the Asian-American Voter Survey (AAVS) was conducted in April and May. In this, 46 percent supported President Biden and 31 percent supported Donald Trump.
Kamala Harris's popularity increased by 22 percent
According to the survey, 66 percent of Asian-American voters have a favorable opinion about Harris. At the same time, 35 percent think against her. However, this figure is higher than the 2024 AAVS. In the 2024 AAVS, 44 percent people were in favor of Harris. This shows that Kamala Harris's popularity has increased by 22 percent among Asian-American voters.
Trump's popularity dropped by 6 percent
Donald Trump's popularity has declined in the latest survey. 28 percent of Asian-American voters are definitely in support of Trump, but 70 percent of the voters do not have a good opinion about him. If we talk about 2024 AAVs, then 34 percent people supported Trump. It is clear from this that Trump's popularity has declined by six percent.
Tim Walz takes the lead
According to the survey, Kamala Harris's running mate and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has the support of 56 percent of Asian American voters. On the other hand, only 21 percent of voters consider Trump's running mate and Republican candidate JD Vance to be right. 58 percent have an opposite opinion of him.
