Washington : The US has once again raised the issue of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The US has reiterated that it expects accountability from the Indian government in the ongoing investigation into Pannu's alleged murder. The US State Department clearly stated that the US will continue to raise its concerns with the Indian government at a high level on this matter.

An investigation is going on in India regarding the attempt to murder Gurpatwant Pannu. America has accused India of getting Pannu killed through its agent.

"We expect accountability from the Indian government regarding an Indian government employee's alleged role in the failed attempt to assassinate an American citizen on U.S. soil and will continue to raise our concerns directly with the Indian government at the highest levels," State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said.

America spoke on the assassination attempt in Canada

At the same time, when Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel was asked about the attempt to kill Gurpatwant Pannu in Canada, he said, “I would ask you to comment on the issues with the Canadian government regarding the news that has come from Canada. This incident happened under the jurisdiction of Canada.”

Pannu has been declared a terrorist by India.

Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta is accused of being involved in the alleged failed assassination plot of Gurpatwant Pannu, who has been declared a terrorist by India for supporting Khalistan.

Pannu holds Canadian citizenship along with US citizenship

The US Department of Justice has alleged that 52-year-old Nikhil Gupta is an aide to the Indian government and that he and others helped plot the murder of Pannun in New York. Pannun holds US and Canadian citizenship.
