News Topical, Digital Desk : It is believed that offering Tulsi leaves and a Tulsi garland to Lord Hanuman as an offering grants the devotee special blessings from him. But do you know why Tulsi is offered to Lord Hanuman? There is a very special reason behind this, which you can learn about from this mythological story. Let's learn about that story.

This story is found

According to the story told in the Ramayana, after returning to Ayodhya from exile, Mother Sita was feeding Hanuman. Sita had prepared a variety of dishes for him. As soon as Hanuman began eating, he ate endlessly. Even after eating many dishes, he remained full. Gradually, all the food was finished, but Hanuman continued to demand more. Seeing this, Sita became worried and went to tell everything to Lord Shri Ram.

Ram ji gave this suggestion

Then Ramji suggested to Mother Sita that she add a basil leaf to Hanumanji 's food. At Ramji's behest, Mother Sita did so and added the basil leaf to Hanumanji's food. This satisfied Hanumanji's hunger. Since then, it has been believed that offering basil to Hanumanji can fulfill all one's wishes.

That is why Tulsi is also offered

According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Vishnu is very fond of Tulsi leaves, and as such, all his incarnations are specially offered Tulsi. Hanuman is a great devotee of Lord Vishnu's seventh incarnation, Lord Shri Ram, to whom Tulsi leaves are especially offered. Therefore, offering Tulsi leaves pleases Hanuman.

Offer Tulsi in this way

A special method has been described for offering Tulsi to Hanumanji, which can help you gain the blessings of the son of the wind, Hanumanji. To do this, first take 108 Tulsi leaves and write the name Ram on them with sandalwood paste to create a garland.

Now offer this garland to Hanumanji during his worship. This will bring auspicious results to the devotee. You can also offer Hanumanji the name of Lord Rama with sandalwood paste on 1, 11, 21, or 51 basil leaves. This will also bring you special blessings from Hanumanji.
