News Topical, Digital Desk : The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has released audio of Ajit Pawar's last phone conversation before his death in a plane crash last week. Ajit Pawar spoke to party member Shrijit Pawar before flying from Mumbai to Baramati.
In his last conversation, Ajit Pawar delivered a message of unity and equality, emphasizing the need to embrace all religions and castes. Describing the call, Shrijit Pawar said he sent a message to Ajit Pawar, affectionately known as "Dada" in Maharashtra politics, and called him as soon as he was within network coverage.
'I texted and Ajit Dada called me'
He said, "Ajit Dada and I are from the same village. I had sent him a message regarding a special matter. As soon as he got the network, he called me. He said that we are taking all castes and religions along."
Why was the audio released?
The reason for making the audio public is that Pawar had a message that the party believes should reach the public. "This is an attempt to bring this audio call recording to everyone's attention so that Maharashtra can know what Ajit Dada's thoughts were until his last breath," said Shrijit Pawar.
What's in the audio clip?
The conversation between the two leaders went like this:
Ajit Pawar: "We take all castes and religions along."
Shrijit Pawar: "No, Dada, I just said what I felt."
Ajit Pawar: "The Mali community has been given representation in the Zilla Parishad from the Supe group. We have tried to give justice to everyone."
Shrijit Pawar: "Yes, Dada, take whatever decision you feel is right."
