News Topical, Digital Desk : With the aim of improving law and order in Uttarakhand, a high-level crime and law and order review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the state's Director General of Police, Deepam Seth. Senior officers from the police headquarters, Garhwal and Kumaon range in-charges, Superintendents of Police of all districts, and senior STF officers were present at the meeting.
The DGP suspended three policemen for negligence: Rishikesh AIIMS outpost in-charge SI Sahil Vashisht, Dehradun's Khudbuda outpost in-charge SI Pradyumna Negi, and Churiyala area in-charge SI Surat Sharma for serious negligence in the clash and firing incident between two groups on Ravidas Jayanti in the Bhagwanpur police station area of Haridwar district.
Strict action will be taken against police personnel who are negligent
During the review meeting, the DGP directed that strict action will be taken against police personnel who are negligent in handling serious criminal incidents. Instructions have been given for timely and transparent action in land fraud cases. A preliminary investigation by the CO will be mandatory. Furthermore, strict action will be taken against police personnel who interfere in civil matters.
Land fraud cases will be investigated at the CO level.
He directed the Vigilance Department to take strict action against corruption by police personnel under a zero-tolerance policy. All land fraud cases will now be investigated at the CO level, and the investigation report will be submitted to Police Headquarters within seven days. Police Headquarters will also continuously monitor pending land-related cases.
