Kannauj. SP leader Nawab Singh Yadav, who came into the news for attempting to rape a minor, started his political career from student union politics. After this, in a short time, he established his influence from the Block Pramukh to the name of Mini Chief Minister in the SP government.

Nawab Singh, who is considered very close to Akhilesh Yadav, has also been a representative of Dimple Yadav. Nawab Singh Yadav, a resident of Adangapur village of Katra of Sadar Kotwali, entered student politics.

After taking admission in the city's PSM Degree College in 1995, he prepared his disciples in Nawab Singh College by winning wrestling competitions. After this, he won the election for the post of student union president in the year 1996.

Nawab had taken charge of the election for Akhilesh

In 1997, he was made the district president of Samajwadi Lohia Vahini. In 2006, during the SP government, Nawab Singh was elected unopposed as the Sadar Block Pramukh. When Akhilesh Yadav contested the election from Kannauj in 2000, Nawab took charge of the election campaign. After winning the election, Akhilesh Yadav started taking advice from Nawab in every matter related to Kannauj.

When the SP government was formed in 2012, Akhilesh Yadav became the Chief Minister. Being considered very close to Akhilesh, people in the state started addressing Nawab as Mini Chief Minister. Nawab also played an important role in making Dimple Yadav an MP unopposed in 2012.

Akhilesh has distanced himself since 2017

In 2017, Nawab Singh demanded ticket from Akhilesh Yadav from Tirwa assembly. Akhilesh refused and expressed confidence in Vijay Bahadur Pal. After this, Dimple Yadav had to face defeat in 2019.

The party leaders blamed Nawab for the defeat. Due to this, Akhilesh Yadav also distanced himself from Nawab Singh. In the recent elections, Akhilesh Yadav had expressed his displeasure with Nawab Singh.

16 criminal cases including kidnapping have been registered since 2007
