Bijnor/Gorakhpur: The leopard that killed three people in Bijnor area will come to Gorakhpur zoo. SDO of the local forest department Gyan Singh has confirmed this.

They say that permission for this has been received from higher authorities. However, the Gorakhpur Zoo administration says that they have the information, but the arrival is not confirmed.

The leopard had killed a young girl, a woman in Bijnor's village Pilana and a farmer in the forest of Jalalpur Bhud. More than a dozen cages were installed in five villages to catch the leopard. On Wednesday morning, the leopard got trapped in the cage installed in the forest of Kulchana.

Right now it is kept in the range office of Bijnor. It has injured itself by hitting the cage. Due to the lower canine teeth of the leopard being broken, it is considered dangerous to leave it in the open.
