Police gave this information on Sunday. According to the police, tension spread after cow remains were found near Idgah on Barsana Road on Saturday. Police said that workers of Hindu organizations got enraged after a burnt carcass of cow was found on the 'service lane' of Yamuna Expressway in Mant area.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said, "Remains of cows were found near Idgah on Saturday evening. As soon as the information was received, members of the cow protection group and people from local Hindu organizations reached the spot and started creating a ruckus." He said, “We reached the spot at night itself. People were pacified by explaining to them and on the complaint of cow protector Dheeraj Kaushik, an FIR was lodged against 24 people named and 50 unknown people and the people who threw the pieces of meat are being searched with the help of CCTV cameras.”
The burnt carcass of the cow was lying on the service lane of the expressway
The officer said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. Police Circle Officer (CO) of Mant area Gunjan Singh said that the workers of Hindu organization got angry after finding the burnt carcass of a cow on the service lane of Yamuna Expressway in Mant area on Saturday and they started creating ruckus. He said that the people present on the spot said that the carcass of the cow was lying there for two-three days and on Saturday someone put straw on it and set it on fire.
Hindu activists started creating ruckus to get the case registered
The officer said that on getting information about this, Hindu activists started creating ruckus to register a case and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashok Saraswat filed a complaint on behalf of Radharani Gauseva Trust. Mant police station SHO Jasbir Singh said that the remains of the cow were taken into custody and cremated and with the help of surveillance evidence, efforts are being made to identify the people present near the spot.
