News Topical, Digital Desk : The Aam Aadmi Party's "Save the Vote, Save the Constitution" march, its second day on Monday, saw its struggle and public support grow stronger. Led by senior Aam Aadmi Party leader, Uttar Pradesh in-charge, and MP Sanjay Singh, the six-day march began Monday morning from J.R. Palace, near Ambedkar Park, in front of the CRPF, Moradabad Road, Rampur.
As soon as the march reached Dalpatpur in Moradabad, the people of Moradabad gave Sanjay Singh a rousing welcome. Upon entering Moradabad's borders, the march received overwhelming public support wherever it passed. This march is a campaign to raise awareness against the BJP's attempts to steal votes in Uttar Pradesh in the name of SIR, deleting names from voter lists, depriving the poor, Dalits, backward classes, and minorities of their right to vote, and weakening the Constitution.
During the march, Sanjay Singh claimed that preparations are underway to disrupt the democratic process by massively manipulating voter lists ahead of the Uttar Pradesh elections. Sanjay Singh stated that voting is not just a right but the greatest power of the people, and that the SIR is being weaponized to weaken this power. He clarified that the Aam Aadmi Party will expose this conspiracy in every district, every village, and every neighborhood.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that this fight is not against any one election or any one government, but rather a fight to protect the democratic rights of future generations. He said that if the attack on the vote succeeds today, the public's voice will be suppressed forever tomorrow. Therefore, the Aam Aadmi Party is making the public the guardians of this fight, so that no government can tamper with the Constitution and the right to vote.
Sanjay Singh said that today, the country is engaged in a politics of distraction from serious issues. The politics of hatred and fear is being promoted by avoiding issues like unemployment, inflation, farmers' problems, and the poor condition of schools and hospitals. He reiterated that the Aam Aadmi Party practices the politics of rights and work, not hatred, and that if it comes to power, it will prioritize education, health, and employment.
It should be noted that the second day of the march continued through various areas, engaging directly with the public. The march reached Insha Garden, near Chamora Railway Gate, Dalpatpur, Moradabad, in the evening, where they rested for the night.
During the padyatra, hundreds of workers, youth, women and local citizens warmly welcomed Sanjay Singh at various places along the route and extended their support to this movement to save votes and the Constitution by joining the padyatra.
