News Topical, Digital Desk : A major murder has been reported in Amethi. Unidentified assailants brutally murdered a middle-aged man and removed his head. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information from villagers, took the body into custody, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Legal proceedings have also been initiated in the case. According to police, an Aadhaar card found in the deceased's pocket has identified him as Vijay Singh, a resident of Pratapgarh district. The deceased's family has also been informed.

This incident occurred near the Mojmganj Bridge in the Jais police station area, where an unidentified headless torso was found this morning. Upon seeing the body, local villagers informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and attempted to identify the body from nearby residents. Police also searched the surrounding area for the head but were unable to find it.

The deceased was identified through an Aadhaar card found in his pocket.

During a search, police found an Aadhaar card in the deceased's pocket, which identified him as Vijay Singh, son of Beni Madhav Singh, 50 years old, resident of Sarasath Chowk, Dharamshala Ward, Kotwali Nagar, Pratapgarh. Superintendent of Police Aparna Rajat Kaushik also inspected the scene and provided necessary instructions to the local police. A forensic team also collected evidence from the scene.

Regarding this entire matter, police station in-charge Amarendra Singh said that the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Further legal action is being taken in the case. Currently, this case falls under the category of extremely heinous crime, and it remains to be seen when the police will reach the culprits in this case.
