News Topical, Digital Desk : Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Friday. He said that change will happen in Kerala. He also mentioned the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the recent Thiruvananthapuram municipal elections.

Attacking the 'Left ecosystem' in the state, he said that only the BJP will end the corruption of the LDF and UDF. Accusing the LDF and UDF of corruption, misgovernance and appeasement politics, he said, “The upcoming elections will change both the condition and direction of Kerala. Till now you have seen only two parties in Kerala - the LDF and the UDF. Both have ruined Kerala in turn. But there is a third party too. That is of development and good governance. That is the BJP.”

"They have different flags but the same agenda."

The CPM-led LDF and the Congress-led UDF are the two major alliances in Kerala and the BJP is emerging as a third option at the grassroots level.

He said, "The LDF and UDF have different flags, but the agenda is the same. Complete corruption and no accountability. Complete communalism and no responsibility. They know they will come to power after five or ten years. Governments change, but the system does not change. Now you need to form a government that is in the interest of the people and for development. The BJP and the NDA will do that."

'People of Kerala have shown faith in BJP'

He said, "The people of Kerala have shown great faith in the BJP and have joined hands with us. The BJP's victory is not ordinary; it is historic and unprecedented. Thiruvananthapuram has laid the foundation of the BJP in Kerala. In Thiruvananthapuram, you have given the BJP an opportunity to serve."
