News Topical, Digital Desk : During a special discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister J.P. Nadda accused the previous Congress-led government of being lax in dealing with terrorism. Nadda said that despite the 2005 Delhi serial bomb blasts, the 2006 Varanasi terror attack and the 2006 bomb blasts in Mumbai local trains, the then government did not take any concrete action.

"...then terror, business and tourism went on hand in hand"

In his address, J.P. Nadda said, "The point is that then terror, trade and tourism went hand in hand between India and Pakistan." He also questioned the limits of the Congress government's appeasement, referring to the 2008 Jaipur bomb blasts. Nadda said that even after these blasts, carried out by the Indian Mujahideen, India and Pakistan agreed on specific confidence-building measures.

He said in a scathing tone, "They kept on firing bullets at us and we went to feed them biryani." Nadda also alleged that the then government had allowed "triple-entry permit" for crossing the Line of Control (LoC), which encouraged infiltration of terrorists.

"A former Defence Minister had said- I am scared to go to Kashmir"

In Rajya Sabha, Union Minister J.P. Nadda said, "...a former Defence Minister had said that India's policy is that not developing borders is the best defence. Undeveloped borders are safer than developed borders." He said, "A former Home Minister had said that I am afraid to go to Kashmir." JP Nadda said that we were living in darkness in this country. From 2014-2025, terrorist attacks stopped in the country except Jammu and Kashmir."

J.P. Nadda said, "...Talking about the Uri surgical strike...this was the first time since 1947 that the Indian Prime Minister publicly said that the culprits of the (Uri) attack will not be spared...and within three days surgical strikes were carried out and terror hideouts were destroyed...this is changing India...look at the political will compared to those who said we will see what to do."
