Yesterday and today when the market is closed, 3 companies have announced dividends. Zuari Industries, Kajaria Ceramics and Apollo Pipes have announced the record date and AGM dates for dividend payment.

Zuari Industries

company had announced a dividend of one rupee per share for the last financial year in the month of May. Today, the record date for the payment of this dividend has been declared. According to the company, 17 September has been fixed as the record date for the dividend. This dividend will be approved in the AGM which will be held on 24 September. After getting the approval, the dividend will be paid. 

Kajaria Ceramics company said in the information sent to the stock market that in the meeting held on 6 May, the board had announced a dividend of Rs 4 per share. Now 12 September has been declared as the record date for the payment of dividend. At the same time, the AGM of the company is going to be held on 29 September. If the dividend is approved, it will be paid on or before 28 October. 

Apollo Pipes company had announced a dividend of Rs 0.7 per share on 10 May. The company has informed after the market closed on Tuesday that it has fixed 5 September 2025 as the record date for payment of dividend. At the same time, the AGM is to be held on 26 September in which the decision of dividend will be approved and after getting the approval, it will be paid within the time limit as per the rules. 

What is record date? Record date is the date on the basis of which it is decided who will get the benefit of the corporate action of a company. From this day the benefit of corporate action stops. This is the reason why the stock price is affected accordingly. If a person wants to get the benefit of any corporate action, he will have to buy the stock before the record date.
