News Topical, Digital Desk : The world's richest man and Tesla-SpaceX owner Elon Musk has once again sharply criticized US President Donald Trump's massive tax cut and spending bill (Big Beautiful Bill).
Musk said in clear words that the MPs who support this bill will face defeat in the primary elections next year. Musk called this bill crazy and destructive and called it dangerous for the country.
On Saturday, when the bill was being discussed in the Senate, Musk expressed his displeasure on the social media platform X. He further intensified his criticism on Monday, saying that the lawmakers who had promised to reduce government spending but supported this bill should feel ashamed.
Will Musk form a new party?
Musk angrily said, "Such lawmakers will be defeated in the primaries next year, even if I have to fight for it till my last breath."
He called this bill so expensive that he called it a "Porky Pig Party" bill. This term is used for wasteful expenditure. Emphasizing the need for a new political party, Musk wrote, "Now the time has come to form a party that actually cares about the public."
Musk's anger is a reflection of the sourness in his relationship with Trump. Musk had spent about $300 million for Trump's presidential election and he was also the head of the Trump administration's controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In this department, Musk was in charge of cutting down government expenditure.
Conflict in the friendship between Elon Musk and Donald Trump
Musk says that this bill will further increase the national debt and will ruin all his savings made through DOGE. However, it is not clear how much impact Musk's words will have on the US Congress or how much obstacle it will create in the way of passing the bill. But the Republican Party fears that this dispute between Musk and Trump could become an obstacle in their way to majority in the 2026 midterm elections.
