Bangladesh summoned Riaz to arrive in Dhaka immediately, following which he left New Delhi for Dhaka, Bangladeshi newspaper Daily Prothom Alo confirmed this.

Why was the summons sent?

According to the report, Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry summoned Riaz Hamidullah on Monday. Riaz arrived in Dhaka last night. The newspaper wrote in its report, "Riaz was summoned from Dhaka to discuss the current state of India-Bangladesh relations."
