News Topical, Digital Desk : Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol has termed as false a foreign media report about the investigation into last year's Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad and said the probe is still ongoing.
An Italian newspaper claimed that agencies investigating the crash had blamed the pilots in their report. "I just want to tell you all that our investigative agencies are investigating this matter," Mohol said on Saturday.
'Should we trust our own agencies or outsiders?'
He further said, "Should we trust our own agencies or outsiders? Our agencies are working on it. Once the final report is out, only then will it be appropriate to comment on it."

On June 12, 2025, a total of 260 people, including 241 passengers, died when Air India Boeing 787-8 aircraft flight AI171, bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad.
On Thursday, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) stated that the investigation is still ongoing and no final conclusions have been reached. Media reports suggesting that the investigation into the accident is complete are inaccurate and speculative.
