News Topical, Digital Desk : Jharkhand. Young industrialist Kairav Gandhi (24), who had been held captive for the past 14 days, returned home safely around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A special police team escorted him to his residence in the Circuit House area. With Kairav's return, the silence and gloom that had prevailed in the Gandhi family's home for the past two weeks has now been replaced by relief and smiles.

An emotional father said: 'We will always be indebted.'

Father and prominent businessman Devang Gandhi expressed his gratitude to God and the city's residents for his son's safe return. Emotionally, he said, "By God's grace, Kairav has returned home safe and sound."

We are grateful to all the well-wishers who prayed for us and stood by us like a rock during these difficult days. We are forever indebted to your love and support."

Police strategy: 7 teams and siege in 4 states

Seven Special Investigation Teams (SITs) were formed under the leadership of the SSP to solve this high-profile case. The police investigation began in Chandil, Jharkhand, and extended to Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha.

According to sources, the criminals used an Indonesian number (+62) to demand a ransom of ₹5 crore (50 million rupees), posing a significant technical challenge for the police. However, a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence led the police closer to the kidnappers.

The kidnappers were eventually forced to retreat, threatened by the police's continued crackdown and raids. Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Manav Kedia described Kairav's safe return as a major achievement for the police administration.

He said that the SSP's skillful leadership and the swift action of the City Superintendent of Police and Rural Superintendent of Police have set an example. The dedication with which the local and state police teams worked day and night has resulted in Kairav being safe today.

The father broke down after hugging his son, and the mother broke her fast.

Upon seeing his son safe and sound, father Devang Gandhi's composure broke, and he embraced him and burst into tears. Meanwhile, Kairav's mother, who had abstained from food since the day of his kidnapping (January 13), only ate a morsel of food after her son's safe return.

"Today is the real Diwali in my house," he said emotionally. Despite being physically healthy, Kairav is in deep mental shock.

The perpetrators kept him confined to a locked room for 14 days, cut off from the outside world. For now, the family has appealed for respect for his privacy and for gatherings at the house to be avoided.

Under "Operation Barhi," seven police teams and the ATS surrounded the criminals based on technical evidence, which frightened them into abandoning Kairav and fleeing. Father Devang Gandhi expressed gratitude for the prayers of the residents and the courage of the police.

Chamber appeals: Respect the privacy of the family

Amidst this joyous atmosphere, Manav Kedia made an important appeal to the residents and well-wishers. He said that Kairav and his family have been through immense mental stress and trauma for the past 14 days.

In such a situation, Kairav needs some solitude and personal time with his family to return to normal. He has appealed to people not to crowd the Gandhi residence for now.

The behind-the-scenes story remains to be seen

Although Kairav has returned home, the police have not yet clarified whether the criminals have been arrested or whether any ransom money has been paid. The police may soon hold a formal press conference to reveal the secrets behind Operation Kairav.
