News Topical, Digital Desk : The Facebook page of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has reportedly been shut down. At the time of writing, it was not immediately clear whether this was a technical glitch or some other issue.
SP MLA from Sardhana in Meerut, Atul Pradhan, informed the Kannauj MP about the intention to shut down his Facebook page. He wrote that the government cannot remove Akhilesh Yadav from the public's hearts by shutting down his Facebook account. He is a popular public leader! Long live Akhilesh Yadav.
To create a page for Akhilesh Yadav on the social media site Facebook, the following information is being searched. It says, "This content is currently unavailable." This is usually because the owner has shared it with only a small group of people, changed who can view it, or it has been removed.
SP leader Pooja Shukla also claimed on social media site X that the SP chief's Facebook page has been shut down.
He wrote that Facebook had overstepped its bounds – it suspended Akhilesh Yadav's official page without any warning or notice. This is no ordinary account – this is Akhilesh Yadav, the voice of millions! Facebook must understand its limits – it cannot suppress democracy.
SP spokesperson Manoj Kaka wrote that the deactivation of the Facebook page of Shri Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of India's third largest party and a prominent advocate of socialism, justice, and democratic values worldwide, demonstrates that even Meta, Meta India's commitment to free expression, has now become a slave to governments. We appeal to Meta to reactivate Honorable Akhilesh Yadav's page as soon as possible.
