
News Topical, Digital Desk : Stock Crash: Shares of Angel One fell by up to 6% on Friday. This decline has come after the company's business figures for June 2025 and the first quarter of financial year 2026. The company has registered a 31.3% annual increase in the number of its active customers. Mutual fund SIP registrations have also increased strongly, but overall trading activity and addition of new customers have seen a decline.
According to the exchange filing, Angel One's active clients reached 3.24 crores in June 2025, which is 31.3% more than last year. This increase was only 1.6% as compared to May 2025. However, the number of trading orders has declined drastically.
There were a total of 11.49 crore orders in June, which is 31.6% less than last year. The average daily orders also declined by 38.1% to 54.7 lakhs, indicating a slowdown in trading.
What new updates The company said that customer acquisition has also decreased. The number of new customers stood at 5.5 lakhs in June 2025, which is 41.5% less than last year. New customers have increased by 9.3% as compared to May 2025. The average customer funding book of the company has increased by 55% to ₹ 4,708 crores. Talking about trading volume, the total average daily turnover (ADTO) declined by 23.5% to ₹34.99 lakh crore. The futures and options (F&O) sector declined by 24.6%, while the options premium turnover increased by 33.8%. F&O premium turnover declined by 34.5% year-on-year. The cash market also declined by 19.5%. Market condition The commodity sector saw good growth, where turnover grew by 69.7% to ₹89,000 crore. In terms of market share, Angel One achieved 18% share in the cash sector, up 159 basis points from last year, while its share in the commodity market declined by 127 basis points to 58.3%. Mutual fund SIPs have also seen a rise, with 7.36 lakh new SIP registrations in June 2025, up 27.8% year-on-year. At 12:02 am on Friday, Angel One shares were trading at ₹ 2,774.60 on the BSE, down 6.14% from its previous close of ₹ 2,950.40. It started the day at ₹ 2,880 and hit an intraday high of ₹ 2,882.
