News Topical, Digital Desk : Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: New revelations are being made about the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi. Meanwhile, a revelation has been made in this case. Actually, Raja's wife Sonam had told Raja Raghuvanshi that she would complete the marriage through physical relations with him only after performing puja at Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. Investigators gave this information on Wednesday.

According to it, Raja planned to visit Guwahati and neighbouring Meghalaya for his honeymoon while his wife and her lover allegedly hatched a conspiracy to murder him due to its remote location in the forests of the northeastern state, investigators said.

"Sonam convinced her husband Raja that they should offer prayers at the Kamakhya Devi temple before consummating their marriage through physical relations," a police officer involved in the investigation said.

Sonam forced him to walk through the dense forests
The official also said, "Sonam forced her husband to walk through the dense forests of Nongriat as she believed that the killers hired by her would have a better chance to kill him somewhere along the way as it is a secluded place. But, since there were a lot of tourists trekking in Nongriat on May 22 and 23, they could not kill him there." He said, adding that finally they killed him near the Weisadong Falls and dumped his body in a deep gorge.

Reached Guwahati on 21 May
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Sayam, who is monitoring the investigation, said that the killers reached Guwahati on May 21, a day after the couple reached the Northeast. Sonam and Raja got married on May 11 in Indore and they reached Meghalaya via Guwahati in Assam on May 20. Both of them went missing on May 23, just hours after leaving a homestay in Nongriat village in Sohra of East Khasi Hills district.
