According to experts, fluctuations in silver may continue in the coming days as well.

Silver also made a record at IBJA

Silver also saw gains at the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA). According to the IBJA's 5 p.m. prices, silver reached ₹1,88,281 per kilogram, an all-time high, an increase of ₹1,931 compared to the previous day. On Wednesday, its price was ₹1,86,350 per kilogram.

Expert told why silver is running away?

Manav Modi, Commodities Analyst (Precious Metals Research), Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, said, "Silver hit an all-time high both domestically and on COMEX as market participants braced for another cautious rate cut by the US central bank. The Fed delivered a 25-basis-point rate cut in a split vote, but indicated that borrowing costs are unlikely to fall further as it awaits clearer signals on a softening job market and firm inflation."

"This strong rally reflects fresh bets by traders in anticipation of better trends from global manufacturing," said Aksha Kamboj, vice president of the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).

Silver will cross Rs 2.40 lakh in 2026

According to Naveen Damani, head of commodity research at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, silver's rally will be prolonged as the global supply deficit continues to widen. He estimates that silver could reach ₹200,000 per kilogram (Silver Target Price 2026) in the first quarter of 2026 and ₹240,000 per kilogram (Silver Target Price 2026) by the end of next year. Silver prices are also projected to reach $75 per ounce in dollar terms.
