Simply put, Shitala Saptami falls one day after the Shashthi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Chaitra. On this auspicious occasion, Shitala, the Goddess of the Universe, is worshipped with devotion.

According to the Vedic calendar, the Saptami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month will begin at 11:27 pm on March 9 and end at 1:54 am on March 11. Thus, Sheetala Saptami will be celebrated on March 10, starting from the Udaya Tithi. The auspicious time for worship on Sheetala Saptami is from 6:24 am to 6:26 pm on March 10. During this time, devotees can worship Goddess Sheetala. Basoda will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11.

Sheetla Saptami auspicious yoga

According to astrologers, several auspicious yogas are forming on the seventh day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Chaitra month. Harshana Yoga is in effect until 8:21 am on this day. Ravi Yoga is also in effect. Worshiping Mother Shitala during these yogas will bring success and accomplishment in auspicious endeavors. Additionally, you will receive the blessing of good health.
