News Topical, Digital Desk : Following the formation of a new government in Bihar, the winter session of the Legislative Assembly is set to begin next Monday (December 1). The district administration in the capital, Patna, has tightened security arrangements for the start of the winter session.

This winter session will run from Monday (December 1, 2025) to Friday (December 5, 2025). Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) will remain in force in Patna during this session, imposing a complete ban on demonstrations, processions, and public protests of any kind.

The subdivisional officer of Patna Sadar issued the order.

The order, issued by Patna Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Gaurav Kumar, stated that various organizations and political parties are likely to stage protests in support of their demands during the session. 

These things will be banned during Section 163

Anticipating this possibility, the administration has clarified that unlawful gatherings of five or more people, processions, sieges, sit-ins, or any other aggressive activity will be prohibited. The order also makes carrying weapons such as firearms, explosives, axes, pickaxes, spears, and knives punishable offenses.

Use of loudspeakers without prior permission is prohibited.

The district administration has also clarified that the use of loudspeakers without prior permission will be strictly prohibited. This order will come into effect on Monday (December 1) and will remain in effect until Friday (December 5). According to officials, additional security forces will be deployed in the Assembly complex and surrounding areas, and special traffic control measures will be implemented on related routes.

The district administration stated that this step was necessary to ensure the smooth conduct of Assembly proceedings and to maintain peace and law and order in the city. This decision was taken in light of security and law and order concerns.
