• On Sawan Monday, wake up in the Brahma Muhurta, take a bath and wear clean clothes.
• Clean the place of worship and sprinkle Ganga water.
• Install the idols of Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha.
• Take a pledge to fast.
• First offer Ganga water, then milk and Panchamrit on Shivling.
• After this, offer Bilva leaves, Dhatura, Bhang, white flowers, fruits, sweets and rice.
• Light a ghee lamp and incense.
• Chant the mantra 'Om Namah Shivay' 108 times.
• In the end, do the aarti of Lord Shiva and pray for happiness and prosperity.
• Food should not be consumed during the fast. In such a situation, keep the fast on fruits only.
• In the evening, worship Lord Shiva again and offer arghya to the moon.
• Break the fast the next day and do charity.

When is Sawan Somvar 2025? (Sawan First Somvar 2025 Date And Time)

According to the Hindu calendar, the first Sawan Monday fast is falling on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of the month of Sawan. At the same time, this date will start on July 14 at 01:02 pm. Also, it will end on July 14 at 11:59 pm. In such a situation, the first fast of Sawan Monday will be kept on July 14.
