Let us tell you that the fast of Masik Shivratri is observed on the Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of every month. According to the Panchang, the Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 1st September at 3:40 am. Chaturdashi Tithi will end on 2nd September at 5:21 am. The fast of Masik Shivratri of Bhadrapada will be observed on 1st September.

Monthly Shivratri Puja Vidhi

• On the day of monthly Shivaratri, wake up in the morning, take a bath and wear clean clothes. 
• After this take a resolution to fast. 
• Now clean the temple and purify it by sprinkling Ganga water. 
• Then install the idol or picture of Shivlinga, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. 
• Offer Ganga water, Bel leaves, flowers, incense sticks, lamps and Prasad on Shivling.
• Light a ghee or oil lamp in front of Mahadev and recite Shiv Chalisa. 
• After this, perform the aarti of Lord Shiva and then chant the mantras.
