
News Topical, Digital Desk : Reliance Industries Limited has reached number 88 in the Fortune Global 500 list of 2025. A total of 9 Indian companies have made it to the list, Reliance Industries is the highest ranked Indian company in the list.
Reliance has maintained its place in the prestigious Fortune Global 500 list for 22 consecutive years. No private sector Indian company has been able to remain in this list for such a long time. Although the company's ranking was 86 last year. But it has climbed 67 places from 2021, when it was ranked 155th.
Ranking of companies
In the 'Fortune Global 500' list, companies are ranked on the basis of total earnings. The list includes five public sector and four private sector Indian companies. Apart from Reliance, LIC is ranked 95th, Indian Oil Corporation 127th, State Bank of India 163rd, ONGC 181st, HDFC Bank 258th, Tata Motors 283rd, BPCL 285th, and ICICI Bank 464th. Reliance recorded a record consolidated gross revenue of ₹ 1,071,174 crore in the financial year 2025. Which grew 7.1% on a year-on-year basis. EBITDA also grew 2.9% to Rs 183,422 crore. All the businesses of Reliance such as oil to chemical, oil and gas, retail and digital services registered tremendous growth. Walmart, Amazon and State Grid are the first three companies in the Fortune Global 500 list. Apart from this, companies like China National Petroleum, Saudi Aramco and Apple have made it to the top 10.
