When is Rama Ekadashi?

According to the Vedic calendar, Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Kartik month will begin  at 10:35 am on October 16th  and end at 11:12 am on October 17th. In Sanatan Dharma, many festivals are celebrated on the Udaya Tithi.  Therefore, Rama Ekadashi will be celebrated on Friday, October 17th.

Rama Ekadashi Parana Time

The Rama Ekadashi fast will be observed on Friday, October 17th. Ekadashi will be broken on Thursday, October 18th. Devotees can break their fast on October 18th between 6:24 am and 8:41 am after bathing, meditating, performing puja, reciting prayers, and donating food and money.  

Great coincidence on Rama Ekadashi

Astrologers believe that several auspicious conjunctions are forming on Rama Ekadashi, including Shivavas and Shukla Yoga. Worshiping Lakshmi Narayana during these conjunctions will bring the desired results. Furthermore, Lakshmi Narayana will shower his blessings upon the devotee.

Rama Ekadashi puja method

On Ekadashi, the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Kartik month, wake up at Brahma Bela. Begin your day by praying to Goddess Lakshmi and Narayan. After finishing your daily chores, bathe in water mixed with the Ganges River and meditate. Afterward, wear new yellow clothes and offer water to the Sun God.

After this, after performing Panchopachar, spread a yellow cloth on a platform and place the idol of Lakshmi Narayan on it. Now worship Lakshmi Narayan with devotion. Offer Shriphal, fruits, flowers and rice pudding to Lakshmi Narayan during the puja. During this, recite the Rama Vrat Katha and chant the mantra. Conclude the puja with Aarti. Keep a fast throughout the day. In the evening, perform Aarti and eat fruits.
