News Topical, Digital Desk : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is currently on a tour of South America. He will visit four countries and meet with political leaders, university students, and business leaders, according to Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera.

Pawan Khera wrote on his X account, “Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to South America. He will meet political leaders, university students, and business people in four countries.”

Overseas Congressmen welcomed

Rahul Gandhi previously visited the United States in April. This marks the beginning of his foreign travels since then. Upon arrival at Boston Logan International Airport, Rahul Gandhi was greeted by members of the Indian Overseas Congress. Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda was also present.

In Boston, Rahul Gandhi also questioned the impartiality of the Election Commission. Addressing the Indian diaspora, he said that the Election Commission of India has been compromised. He cited the Maharashtra elections as an example and said that the electoral system has some fundamental flaws.

Rahul said, "More people voted in Maharashtra than the number of people in the state, and that's true. The Election Commission gave us a figure at 5:30 p.m., and two hours later, at 7:30 p.m., 6.5 million people voted, which is impossible." The BJP criticized Rahul for this and accused him of insulting national institutions.
