After this, a stampede broke out there. 3 people died and about 50 others were injured in the stampede near the Sri Gundicha temple in Puri on Sunday.

Giving more information about the incident, a senior official said that the incident took place around 4 am when hundreds of devotees had gathered near the temple. Puri District Collector Siddharth S Swain said that the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The condition of 6 people is critical.
