News Topical, Digital Desk : Teacher candidates gathered at the Patna College gate to demand full seating for the TRE 4 exam. They staged a protest in the pouring rain on Saturday, raising slogans against the government. Carrying banners and posters, they wanted to march to the Chief Minister's residence, but were denied permission. Police stopped them at the Patna College gate, where a large police force was deployed.

Candidates were chased away and removed

The protesting candidates said, "The Nitish government has cheated us. The government had promised to recruit for 1,20,000 posts, but only 26,000 posts will be filled. This is a breach of promise. Today, we wanted to march to the CM's residence. We wanted to meet the Chief Minister and put forth our views. But efforts are being made to suppress our voice."

The candidates also said, "The election dates will be announced in two to three days. Before the code of conduct comes into effect, we want recruitment for 120,000 posts, otherwise we will teach the Nitish government a lesson in the Bihar Assembly elections. Voting will also be boycotted. In the name of recruitment, the government fools people."

It should be noted that the government has announced that only 26,000 positions will be filled. The announced vacancies will not be increased. Further vacancies will be announced in TRE-5. The exam will be held in December, with results declared in January. The TRE-4 exam will be held between December 16th and 19th. The results will be released between January 20th and 26th, 2026.

The fourth stage examination will be held in December.

Thousands of young people have already secured jobs through the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) teacher recruitment exams TRE-1, TRE-2, and TRE-3. Now, the fourth phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment exam is scheduled to take place soon. This recruitment process will recruit teachers for primary (grades 1-5), middle school (grades 6-8), secondary (grades 9-10), and senior secondary (grades 11-12).

Candidates are continuously protesting for a full recruitment drive in TRE 4. This is an attempt to pressure the government in an election year. The government claims that millions of youth have been given employment and reinstated, but the government is also being cornered on these very issues.
