The fast of Papankusha Ekadashi is observed on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. According to scriptures, the Peepal tree is believed to be the abode of Lord Vishnu. If there is a Peepal tree near your home, light a lamp beneath it on the evening of Ekadashi. This ritual removes all obstacles in life and provides relief from financial troubles.

The kitchen is considered the abode of Goddess Annapurna. Lighting a lamp in the kitchen on Ekadashi ensures that there is never a shortage of food and wealth in the home, and prosperity prevails.
