New Delhi: The Maharashtra government has been reprimanded by the Supreme Court. The court warned and even said that we will stop many schemes like Ladli Behan Yojana and free seeds.

What is the matter?

This case is about land compensation which has been pending for years. The court strongly reprimanded the Maharashtra government for not paying proper compensation in the case. Actually, the state had illegally occupied the property of the person about six decades ago and in return allotted him notified forest land.

Supreme Court's warning

The court warned that if the state government does not give proper compensation to the person losing the land, then we will order the closure of the Ladli Behan scheme. Also, the structures built on illegally acquired land will be demolished.

While hearing the matter, the judge said that if we do not find the amount appropriate, we will order the demolition of the structure. Come up with a reasonable figure. Tell your Chief Secretary to talk to the CM. Otherwise, we will stop all those schemes.
