At the same time, during the farewell ceremony, she also asked for a special gift from CJI Chandrachud. In fact, she requested that a woman judge be appointed in her place after retirement.

Women should get their due place in the judiciary: Kapil Sibal
Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Chief and senior lawyer Kapil Sibal was also present in this program. He said that women should get proper place in the judiciary. Kapil Sibal told the CJI that women are not getting opportunities to fight big cases in big law firms. He said that if women can become Prime Minister and President, then they can also become judges in the Supreme Court and High Court.
Agreeing with Kapil Sibal, the CJI said that senior advocates (Hima Kohli) should train as many women as possible.
Let us tell you that Justice Kohli has been associated with legal work for about 40 years. She has worked as a lawyer for 22 years and as a judge for 18 years.
