New Delhi: Modi Cabinet on Monday made a big announcement for farmers and approved seven schemes with a total cost of Rs 13,966 crore. The government said that these decisions have been taken with the aim of improving the lives of farmers and increasing their income.

The Union Cabinet approved seven important decisions in the meeting to promote agriculture-related activities and increase food security across the country. Giving information about this decision of the government, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that these measures have been designed to support the agriculture sector, promote sustainable development and ensure the availability of food for all citizens.

Digital Agriculture Mission

Announcing the important decisions taken by the government regarding farmers, Ashwini Vaishnav said, 'Today in the cabinet meeting, seven major decisions have been taken to improve the lives of farmers and increase their income. The first is the Digital Agriculture Mission. It is being developed on the lines of the structure of digital public infrastructure for agriculture. Some good pilot projects have been started and we have achieved success, with a total investment of Rs 20,817 crore, Digital Agriculture Mission will be established.'
