News Topical, Digital Desk : On the day of Guru Purnima, disciples express their gratitude to their Guru because he takes them out of darkness and leads them to the light of knowledge. This time this date, which is auspicious for bathing and donation, will be celebrated on 10th July. Leave aside ordinary people, even Siddha Purushas and devotees like Tulsidas do not get knowledge without a Guru.
There is a story about this. It is believed that Tulsidas wrote the seven chapters of Ramcharitmanas in Kashi. Then he came to Chitrakoot to see Lord Rama. It is said that Tulsidas ji was grinding sandalwood while remembering his idol at Ram Ghat in Chitrakoot.
Then two boys come there and ask him to apply sandalwood. Tulsidas ji tells those boys that why are you disturbing me. There are other priests here. Go and get the Tilak applied by them. Then Hanuman ji appeared in the form of a parrot and recited a quatrain- Crowd of saints gathered at the ghat of Chitrakoot, Tulsidas rubbed sandalwood and Raghuveer applied Tilak.
Then Hanumanji also appeared before me
Hearing this, he came to know that those boys were none other than Ram and Lakshman. Hearing this quatrain, Tulsidas ji recognized Lord Ram and Lakshman standing in the form of boys and fell at their feet. Then Hanuman ji also appeared before him in his real form.
After this, Tulsidas accepted Hanuman ji as his Guru. He dedicated the first couplet of Hanuman Chalisa to his Guru and wrote-
Shri Guru's feet are Saroj Raja, my heart is Mukuru Sudhar. I describe Raghubar's pure glory, which gives four fruits.
Knowing my body to be devoid of wisdom, I remember Pawan-kumar (Lord Hanuman). Give me strength, wisdom and knowledge and remove my troubles and diseases.
It means- Purifying the mirror of my mind with the dust of the lotus feet of Shri Guru Maharaj, I narrate the pure fame of Shri Raghuveer, who gives all the four fruits - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. O Pawan Kumar! I remember you. You know that my body and mind are weak.
Give me physical strength, wisdom and knowledge and destroy my sorrows and faults. He asked the Guru for everything that is necessary for any human being. Physical strength, wisdom, knowledge and the boon to destroy all sorrows.
In another quatrain of Hanuman Chalisa, he has written describing the glory of Gurudev-
Hail Hail Hail Hanuman Gosain. Please bless me like Gurudev.
If someone recites this 100 times, he will be freed from bondage and attain great happiness.
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa, will achieve success, says Gaurish.
It means- O Lord Hanuman! Victory to you, victory to you, victory to you! Please shower your blessings on me like the kind Shri Guru Ji. Whoever recites this Hanuman Chalisa hundred times, will be freed from all bondages and will get bliss. Whoever recites this Hanuman Chalisa will definitely get success, Lord Shankar is the witness of this fact.
In this also, he has not asked for a boon from Lord Hanuman, the devotee of Lord Ram. He has requested Bajrangbali as his Guru to bless him like a Guru. It is also said that whoever recites this Hanuman Chalisa 100 times, he will be freed from all bondages and Gaurish i.e. Shankarji himself is the witness of this.
