Sangam deserted due to the rise in the rivers

Due to heavy rains in the mountains, the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers in Devprayag are also overflowing. Due to which the local residents of Devprayag are scared. As soon as the water level of the rivers rises, the locals are becoming cautious and coming out of their homes. After the Kedarnath disaster of 2013, as soon as the water level in the river rises, panic spreads among the residents of Devprayag.

Due to the rise in water levels in Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, no one is going to Devprayag Sangam. Sangam is also deserted these days. However, after the rains, Sangam will be lively again. SDM Kirti Nagar Sonia Pant said that the water level of the rivers has increased these days, so very few people are going to Sangam. However, there is no danger.
