News Topical, Digital Desk : Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year (2025). Before the elections, the security of many leaders is being increased these days. Now the security of three more leaders has been increased by the Home Department. The three leaders include BJP MP Gopalji Thakur from Darbhanga, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi from Samastipur and Congress state president cum MLA from Kutumba Rajesh Kumar. They will be given Y category security.

It is said that this decision was taken in the State Security Committee meeting held recently regarding the security classification of VIPs of the state. After this, the Home Department wrote a letter to the DGP and Special Branch and directed them to ensure Y category security to the concerned MPs and MLAs. Let us tell you that in the Y category, eight people are deployed for security. One or two are commandos and the rest are police personnel.

Right now the security of six leaders was increased

It is worth noting that the security of six more leaders was also increased this month. Among them, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was given Z Plus category with ASL (Advanced Security Liaison), Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was given Z category, Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav, Araria MP Pradeep Kumar Singh and Barh MLA Gyanendra Singh Gyanu were given Y Plus category security. JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar was given Y category security. Out of these six leaders, MP Pappu Yadav was demanding increased security for a long time.

Shambhavi Choudhary was opposed in Darbhanga

Let us tell you that Shambhavi Chaudhary was opposed during the Jan Samvad program organized on 22 August in a high school in Kusheshwarsthan block of Darbhanga. Her father and JDU minister Ashok Chaudhary was also present on this occasion. He got angry from the stage itself. He said, "I don't want your vote." People raised slogans holding placards with the words 'Shambhavi go back' and 'No road, no vote' written on them.
