News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that all devotees coming to Ujjain to have darshan of Baba Mahakal are welcome and congratulated. In the last three to four days alone, more than 500,000 devotees have visited Baba Mahakal. He stated that all devotees coming to Ujjain are not just our guests, but guests invited by Baba Mahakal himself. Mahakal has called them for darshan. Therefore, every arrangement related to the hospitality of all devotees must be accompanied by compassion and intimacy. The Chief Minister said that it is only by the grace of Baba Mahakal that the city of Ujjain remains a center of spiritual consciousness not only for India but for the entire world. The Chief Minister said that the cooperation of the citizens of Ujjain is the true service to Baba Mahakal. The government, administration, and society will work together to make Simhastha 2028 the most grand, divine, disciplined, as well as a safe, well-organized, and historic event.

Three major initiatives for youth

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of various development projects at Ujjain's Nanakheda Stadium on Monday. The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for 12 development projects worth approximately ₹129 crore. The Chief Minister also simultaneously inaugurated three important youth-focused initiatives in Ujjain. The Chief Minister also launched Project Swadhyay (Coding for All). This project engages students with coding and digital thinking from an early age.

The web portal was also launched

The Chief Minister also launched the UtkarshUjjain.com web portal. This portal will serve as an integrated digital platform for learning, guidance, and opportunities for youth. He also launched the Kaushal Setu industry-led skill development program. Kaushal Setu will bridge the gap between education and industry, preparing youth for real-world industry needs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that these three initiatives will not limit Ujjain's youth to just degrees, but will lay the foundation for making them job-ready, startup-ready, and future-ready.

Modern Astroturf in Hockey Stadium

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 11 development projects in the Ujjain urban area, costing ₹124 crore. These include the widening of various roads at a cost of approximately ₹102 crore, the enhancement and development of the Kapila Gaushala (with a capacity of 3,000 cattle) at a cost of ₹9.50 crore, the development of an EWS colony in the Panwasa area at a cost of ₹8.75 crore, the construction of a sports complex in Kanipura at a cost of ₹3.47 crore, and the construction of a new Janpad Panchayat building at a cost of approximately ₹5 crore.

He said that in addition to these works, other projects costing 45 crore rupees are also in progress. The Chief Minister announced that modern astroturf will be installed in Ujjain's old hockey stadium, enabling international hockey matches to be held there. He said that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, Indian players are winning medals in almost all sports. 
 
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we are striving to make the youth of Madhya Pradesh job creators, not job seekers. Today's initiatives will help us in this direction tomorrow. He said that initiatives like the Madhya Pradesh government's Learn-Earn Scheme, Skill India Mission, and Prime Minister's Internship Scheme are preparing youth for the market and industry by providing them with practical experience along with education. This is the right opportunity for the youth of Ujjain to prepare themselves now for a better tomorrow. 

Simhastha 2028 will be amazing

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Simhastha is the world's largest religious fair. It is a wonderful confluence of Indian religion, culture, spirituality, and tourism. The government has begun all preparations for Simhastha. "Our goal is to have more than 50 million devotees bathe/drink the pure waters of the Kshipra River within 24 hours at the 30-kilometer-long ghats," he said. "To enhance Simhastha, we have approved 33 major projects in Ujjain at a cost of ₹2,675 crore. Implementation of these projects has already begun. Crowd management will be a key focus during Simhastha."

Therefore, seamless connectivity is being ensured by connecting the entire fair area with four-lane and six-lane roads. Ujjain is being developed as a medical tourism hub to provide better healthcare facilities to pilgrims. To this end, construction of a modern Medicity is underway in Ujjain. A new industrial park is also being developed here. A new IT park and science city are being built on the old engineering college campus.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today, for Project Swadhyay, skill development centers have been opened near Ninaura for 3,000 youth and near Maksi for 2,000 youth. The metro will also run between Indore and Ujjain in the future, but before that, the Vande Bharat Metro train will be presented. The city's Chintamani Ganesh station is also being developed as a main station. He announced that a new railway station will be built in Mohanpura. A large airport is also being built near Ujjain, so that pilgrims can land directly in Ujjain.

Shani Lok and other projects

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Shani Lok will be constructed in Ujjain. We have approved ₹140 crore for this. This Shani Lok will establish a new identity for Ujjain in the field of faith and tourism. Four-lane roads are being built in all four directions to connect Ujjain with other cities. Approximately 12-13 new bridges are also under construction, which will improve transportation. He said that Ujjain will now be part of the Indore-Ujjain Metropolitan Area, which will be built over a total area of ​​14,000 square kilometers. After Delhi, this will become the second largest metropolitan area in the country. It will also include Shajapur, Shujalpur, Dewas, and Ratlam from the Ujjain division.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is writing a new story in this changing era. The magnificent Mahakal temple in Ujjain is establishing its unique identity in the country and the world. Seeing Mahakal blesses life. He is not just the Mahakal of Ujjain, but of the entire world. It is our good fortune that for the first time since 1980, bathing during Simhastha will be done with the waters of Kshipra. Through the Kanh River Project, the residents of Ujjain will have pure water for drinking and sufficient water for irrigation. The Chief Minister said that the city of Ujjain has held special significance in every era. The Mahakal residing here is present in all of us. All our work is accomplished through the blessings of Mahakal.

Medical tourism and industrial development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appealed to the residents of Ujjain to come forward wholeheartedly to help visitors from across the country and the world during Simhastha. He also directed the district administration to compile a list of such volunteers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that Ujjain also has a Juna Mahakal temple. Ujjain has been a center for planetary time calculations for the world. The state government has developed a Vedic clock based on this. Development work is being accelerated in the city while preserving its heritage for Simhastha.

The Samrat Vikramaditya Hotel near the Baba Mahakal Temple has been renovated. The old mansion has also been renovated through the Veer Bharat Trust. This caravan of development will continue; our government is committed to the overall development of the state.

Other leaders also joined

Ujjain Lok Sabha MP Shri Anil Firoziya said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, work is continuously underway to transform Ujjain. As Minister of Higher Education, he has previously provided numerous development projects to the city. Wide roads are being built to every village in Ujjain district. Farmers are being provided with price difference compensation, and crop insurance payments will also be available very soon. The state government is depositing 1500 rupees per month into the bank accounts of Ladli sisters. A wave of development is sweeping through the state. Other speakers also addressed the program.

Rajya Sabha member Shri Umesh Nath Maharaj, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, MLA Shri Satish Malviya, MLA Shri Jitendra Pandya, Ujjain Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal along with many public representatives and local people were present in the program.
