News Topical, Digital Desk : In the election year, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is busy in pleasing people of every section and the agitation for demands is also continuing. A few days ago, the contract workers of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department were on a dharna for their demands and now the MNREGA Barefoot Technician Union (BFT) of the Rural Development Department is also seen aggressively demanding a salary hike.

About 1000 BFT employees of Bihar united

About 1000 BFT employees from all over Bihar united in Patna and raised slogans against the government. On Sunday, the workers raised their voice demanding a hike in honorarium at the IMA Hall in Gandhi Maidan. Umesh Kumar, President of the Barefoot Technician Association and Baljeet Kumar, Secretary, said that about 986 technicians are working in the state for the last 8 years, but the honorarium has been increased only once by Rs 1192, they get only Rs 6000, whereas skilled wages are also much higher per day.

The workers said that there is a shortage of one or two-three MNREGA footwear technicians in every block of the entire state of Bihar. The post of Rozgar Sevak in MNREGA is lower than ours, but their honorarium is higher than ours, even though we work more than them.

There will be a movement to reach the government

He said that we have to go to the office every day and work for more than 8 hours. We do not want to go against the government, we have given letters to the department several times regarding our demands, but no hearing has taken place till now. That is why we have united and now the only way to make our voice reach the government is to protest. The employees have talked about agitation if their demands are not met.
