
News Topical, Digital Desk : Laurus Labs has given a big update regarding the merger before the stock market closed on Thursday. The company said in the information given to the exchange that Unit-1 of its subsidiary Laurus Synthesis will be demerged and merged with Sriam Labs. While the rest of the business of Laurus Synthesis will be merged directly with Laurus Labs Limited. The company said that it has approved a Composite Scheme of Arrangement in the board meeting on Thursday (21 August 2025).
What is the company's plan
The company said that under this plan - Unit-1 of Laurus Synthesis Private Limited (LSPL) will be demerged and merged with Sriam Labs Private Limited. Sriam Labs is also a subsidiary of Laurus Labs. The rest of the business of Laurus Synthesis (entire LSPL except Unit-1) will be merged with Laurus Labs Limited and LSPL will cease to exist. It will be closed without going through the process of winding up. The company said that the Appointed Date of this plan will be 1 April 2026 or the date which will be approved by NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) or other relevant authority.
Share performance On Thursday, the company's shares were trading at Rs 889.25 with a gain of 1.51 percent. In the last one year, the company's shares have seen a gain of 100.16 percent.
