Auspicious time of Ashwin Shivratri (Masik Shivratri 2025 Shubh Muhurat)

According to the Vedic calendar, the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will begin on September 19 at 11:36 pm. At the same time, the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will end on September 21 at 12:16 am. On the day of monthly Shivratri, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped during the night. For this, monthly Shivratri of Ashwin month will be celebrated on September 19. On this day, the time for worship during the night is from 11:51 pm to 12:38 am.

Method of worship

On the Chaturdashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Ashwin, or the monthly Shivaratri, wake up before sunrise or at sunrise. First, offer your respects to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Then, begin your day. After cleaning your home, take a bath with water mixed with the Ganges. Afterward, rinse your mouth with water and wear new, white clothes.

Now offer water to the Sun God. After this, perform Panchopachar and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati with devotion and rituals. During this time, offer fruits, flowers, and sweets to Lord Shiva. During the puja, recite the Shiva Chalisa and chant Shiva mantras. Conclude the puja with an aarti of Lord Shiva. During this time, pray to Lord Shiva for increased happiness and good fortune.
