The Revenue Department, Police Administration and Mines Department have jointly taken action on this. This is the biggest action of this year in Bhandara. In this action, 17 tippers worth Rs 3 crore 40 lakh have been seized and from them 170 brass sand stock worth Rs 10 lakh 20 thousand has been seized. In this entire action, the police has seized goods worth Rs 3 crore 50 lakh 20 thousand.
Biggest action against sand mafia
This is the biggest action against the sand mafia this year. The entire operation took place in Mohgaon Devi, Mohadi taluka, Bhandara district, Maharashtra. Following reports of illegal sand transportation, the Revenue Department, Bhandara Police, and Mines Department jointly launched the operation, while the tipper drivers involved in the illegal sand transportation resorted to film-esque maneuvers to avoid action.
170 brass sand stock seized
All these tippers were then hidden in an open field behind the Jai Kishan Rice Mill within the boundaries of Mohgaon Devi village. This joint department team conducted the operation there. The Bhandara Superintendent of Police, the Additional Superintendent of Police, the Mining Officer, two district officers from Tumsar and Bhandara, three tehsildars from Bhandara, Mohadi, and Tumsar, and two station officers from Varthi and Mohadi, along with their entire police, revenue, and mining department officials and staff, played a key role in this operation. This action has created panic among the sand mafia. Police seized 17 tippers worth ₹3.40 crore (3.4 million rupees) and 170 brasses of sand worth ₹10.20 lakh (102 million rupees).

Large-scale sand mining is occurring in various parts of the state. Sand mafias are seen stealing sand illegally, openly, and without fear. This issue is currently in the news. However, administrative officials are taking action on the ground. This action has created an atmosphere of fear among the sand mafia. Police and officials are taking extensive action.
