News Topical, Digital Desk : A bizarre case of body exchange has emerged at the Panvel Sub-District Hospital in Navi Mumbai, sparking a dispute between two families. The incident began when Sushant Mallam's family arrived at the hospital and discovered that the body was not that of their son.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that Sushant's body had been taken by Bishna Rawat's family, who had reportedly also cremated him. Health official Ashok Geete stated that Sushant Mallam of Kharghar and Bishna Rawat, a security guard from New Panvel, both committed suicide on October 20th.

Mistakes in identifying families

Both bodies were brought for post-mortem examination. Doctors asked Bishna Rawat's family to take the body. Rawat's family identified the body in front of the video and took Sushant Mallam's body away. Sushant's family, being in Nepal, arrived at the hospital four days later and refused to identify the body.

The hospital arranged a settlement meeting

Since both families were Nepalese and the incidents occurred on the same day, the hospital administration made this mistake. However, the hospital administration later called both parties together and negotiated a compromise. The two families eventually agreed to perform the remaining cremation together and took the bodies.
