News Topical, Digital Desk : The Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday on Monday, September 8, 2025 on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The Department of General Administration has given this information by issuing a notification on Wednesday. The government has made this change keeping in mind the Eid-e-Milad procession taken out by the Muslim community. Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi, is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.

This festival is celebrated on a large scale especially by the Sufi and Barelvi community and is extremely important for the Muslim community from a religious point of view. However, this holiday will not have any effect on the Indian stock market. Both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain open on Monday, September 8 and trading will continue.

No holiday in September For the convenience of investors, a list of holidays for the entire year 2025 is available in the Trading Holidays tab on the official website of BSE (bseindia.com). According to the 2025 holiday list of BSE and NSE, there is no scheduled holiday in the month of September.
