According to reports, Sitamau police raided Bhayyu Lala's home in Surjani village on Wednesday night in search of him. Bhayyu Lala was at home at the time, fearing the police, and hid in a bed box. After briefly searching the house, the policemen left. Bhayyu Lala died of suffocation inside the box.
However, Bhayyu Lala's family alleges that the police entered his home and killed him. They also accuse him of demanding 25 lakh rupees and taking the DVR from his house. According to the police, Bhayyu Lala has 19 criminal cases registered against him. He also has an open history sheet. A reward of five thousand rupees was also announced for Lala.
