
News Topical, Digital Desk : Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat arrived in his hometown of Jodhpur on Saturday (September 20), where he spoke to the media, strongly criticizing recent comments by Congress leaders. Speaking to reporters at his residence shortly after returning from Delhi, Shekhawat said that the use of restrained and dignified language is essential in politics.
He said, "There is no place for obscenity in democracy. The Constitution drafted by Baba Saheb Ambedkar does not give any recognition to such language. Mahatma Gandhi also always gave the message of restraint and decent speech."
BJP targets Congress
Taking a direct dig at the Congress party, Shekhawat said that it is a matter of concern when leaders who enter politics with an oath in the name of Baba Saheb and Gandhiji use uncivilized language. He sarcastically said that it seems the current generation of leaders has imparted these values to the Congress party.
Reaction to the District President's comment
When Shekhawat was questioned about the controversial remarks made by Congress District President Salim Khan, he said, "Our values do not allow us to retaliate against abusive language." He advised the Congress party to introspect and reflect, saying that if the party does not make improvements in time, the public will deliver a befitting reply in the elections.
Praise for Supars Bhandari
Meanwhile, Shekhawat also praised senior Congress leader Supars Bhandari, saying that Bhandari's admission of guilt and apology is a positive and healthy sign in a democratic system.
Reaction to Delhi University elections
Speaking to reporters, Shekhawat also expressed his opinion on the Delhi University Student Union election results. He said, "Nationalist ideology has won in Delhi. This is a victory for the nation's resolve and the dreams of the youth."
