
News Topical, Digital Desk : A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A private bus suddenly caught fire. Several passengers were on board at the time of the incident. The fire was so severe that the passengers didn't even have time to get out. According to reports, 20 passengers on board the bus were burned to death. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over this tragic accident. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also expressed grief over the accident and personally visited the scene.
President Murmu said it was painful
President Draupadi Murmu described the incident as tragic in a post on the social media platform X. She wrote about the accident on X, “The news of the loss of many lives due to a bus fire in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan is deeply painful. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
Compensation announced by PMO
Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said on this accident that I am saddened. According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on the social media platform X, PM Modi said, "I am saddened by the loss of life and property in an accident in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. My condolences are with the affected people and their families in this difficult time. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured." Apart from this, while announcing the compensation, it was further written in the post, “An ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of each deceased from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.”
CM expressed grief
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his grief over the accident on the social media platform Instagram. He wrote, "The incident of the bus fire in Jaisalmer is extremely heartbreaking. I express my deepest condolences to the citizens affected by this tragic accident. The concerned officials have been instructed to provide proper treatment to the injured and all possible assistance to the affected. May Lord Shri Ram grant rest to the departed souls in his holy feet. The state government stands with the affected families and is committed to providing them with all possible assistance."
